Scope and last update

Last updated: September 10, 2026. This policy explains how personal information may be collected, used, disclosed, retained and protected when you visit montaxi.ca or submit a request through a page controlled by MonTaxi Montreal. Immediate ordering, general contact and certain payment processes open external services. These services receive the information directly and apply their own privacy policies.

Information you provide

A special request may include your name, phone number, email address, pickup and destination addresses, planned date and time, number of passengers, luggage description, flight number and any trip details you choose to provide. The form also records the versions of the terms and privacy policy you accepted, as well as technical information needed for validation, abuse prevention and submission follow-up. Do not submit a card number, identity document, medical diagnosis or information that is not necessary for the trip.

Cookies and audience measurement

This website uses the technical cookies required for its operation, security and reservation-form spam protection. Information entered in the form, including your name and email address, is transmitted with your request. MonTaxi does not store this information in a cookie on your browser. Google Analytics is used primarily to measure the number of visits to the different pages of the website. Limited cookieless measurements and certain technical information, such as the visit time, user agent, page viewed, referrer and consent status, may be transmitted to Google to produce general statistics. Information voluntarily entered in the reservation form, such as your name, phone number, email address or trip addresses, is not sent to Google Analytics.

Why information is used

Information is used to receive and review a request, assess the trip, prepare a proposal, communicate with the customer, arrange pickup, send a confirmation, answer a follow-up request, protect the website, diagnose errors and produce audience statistics. Information provided for a ride or request is not used to send promotional communications without separate consent.

Who may receive the information

Necessary details may be disclosed to the driver or person who reviews and fulfills the request, solely to arrange or complete the trip and communicate with the customer about it. Technical service providers may also process information to provide the service: Cloudflare for hosting, security, spam protection and the database; Resend for transactional emails; Google for audience measurement; and the external service provider used for ordering, contact or payment. MonTaxi does not sell or rent personal information.

Retention and destruction

Information related to a request is retained only for the period needed to process it, follow up on the service, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized. Emails, technical logs, backups and billing records may follow different retention schedules.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal information about you, correction of your information, deletion when permitted, withdrawal of an applicable consent or information about how your personal information has been processed. Proportionate identity verification may be required to protect the relevant records. You can limit or delete cookies through your browser’s privacy settings. To exercise a right or ask a question, use the Contact page and provide only the information needed to locate your request.
